Getting started on a badge might look scary but it's quite straightforward when you know how. The hardest part is probably choosing what you want to try first. There's so many to choose from!
🌟 Look on the walls and find a badge that looks fun to you. This could be a special monthly badge, dressing up, fishing, farming, playing games, watching movies, and so much more. The choice is yours.
🌟 Wearing your Fireflies group tag, click the badge you want from the wall, and it will give you a notecard.
🌟 Read the notecard to find out more about what you need to do for the badge.
🌟 Put your calling card at the top of each badge notecard. You can find it by searching for your own legacy name (the name you use to login) in your inventory.
🌟 Rename your notecard -- Where it says (name here), put your name instead.
🌟 Work through your badge, following the instructions for how to complete it.
🌟 Keep hold of your badge notecard until it's time to turn your badges in for the month.
Some badges, like dressing-up and accessory badges, require you to take a photo in front of the time clock each day. This is outside, at the front of the scout building. You do not need to upload a picture to SL. Just take a screenshot using a software like gyazo that lets you get a link to share, and copy the link into your notecard.
You might also see that you need a witness for some badges. Here's how to get a witness and what you both need to do:
🌟 Find someone at the scout building, in the Fireflies group, or in Fireflies discord, and ask if they will be your witness.
🌟 Tell them what badge you are working on that they need to witness you for.
🌟 When they tell you that you've witnessed, you can add their name to your notecard.
🌟 You can only use the same witness three times per badge.
🌟Only Miss Melly can witness via photo. Any other witness will need to see you in person, so you will need to go to them, or they must come to you.
🌟 Miss Melly should only be asked to witness if you have tried at a few different times to get a witness but no one responded.
